Let me first explain what I mean by OAU Domain-based email for those who don’t know. It means having emails that has the university website domain as extension of your own name e.g. johndoe@student.oauife.edu.ng
This is cool, huh? Yeah, very very cool.
The management of the Obafemi Awolowo University is making plans to issue out OAU Domain-based email to students and Alumni of the university. The emails will however be different from the regular ones used by lecturers and members of staffs of the university.
The email for students will look like johndoe@student.oauife.edu.ng with the student in the email indicating that you are a student of the University. The OAU Alumni email will however look like johndoe@alumni.oauife.edu.ng with the alumni in the email indicating you are an alumnus of the university.

This is a very good development and reliable information reaching us also has it that the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, FUNAAB is making arrangement to make such custom emails too for postgraduate students of FUNAAB.
