List of Polytechnics That Accept Pass In Mathematics

Below are the courses you can study with a Pass in Mathematics and the Polytechnics that offer such courses. You will see the names of the courses as headings. Following that are the schools that offer such courses. Below that are the O’ level results requirements (WAEC/GCE/NECO) and special considerations where applicable.

Here you will be Courses that fall under Sciences, Art, Agriculture, Management and more;

1. Animal Health and Production Technology

Federal Polytechnic, Mubi.

O’level Subjects Requirement;

Mathematics, English Language, Physics and any two of the following:

Special Consideration;

FEDPO-MUB accepts a pass in Mathematics/Statistics and English Language with credit passes in Chemistry, Agricultural Science/Biology and any two such as Geography, Physics, Economics, Home Economics, Food and Nutrition and Technical Drawing.

2. Art and Design

IBADANPOLY

O’level Subjects Requirement;

English Language, Fine Art Mathematics and any two of the following:

Special Consideration;

IBADANPOLY requires credit pass in Nigerian Language and accepts Commerce, Economics. Also accepts a pass in Mathematics/English Language.

3. Co-operative Economics and Management

Fed Cooperative College, Oji-River, Enugu State

O’level Subjects Requirement;

English Language (not Literature in English) and Mathematics and any three subjects from the following:

Special Consideration;

FEDCOOP-OJI – accepts as UTME subject combination of Mathematics or any of Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Agricultural Science etc) and any two of the Social science subjects. It also accepts four credit passes in one sitting or five credit passes in not more than two sittings at O’ level. A pass in Mathematics is acceptable.

4. Fashion Design and Clothing Technology

Below are the Polytechnics that accept pass in Mathematics for Fashion Design and Clothing Technology. YabaTech offers it as Fashion Design.

BENPOLY, YABATECH, OKOPOLY

O’level Subjects Requirement;

Home Economics/Technical Drawing and any four of the following:

At least a credit pass in English Language is compulsory.

Special Consideration;

BENPOLY requires four ‘O’ level credit passes in English Language, Fine Art and any other two subjects from History, Clothing& Textile, Chemistry, Biology or Health Science, Technical Drawing and Mathematics. A pass in Mathematics will be at advantage.

5. Hospitality Management

O’level Subjects Requirement;

Biology/Agricultural Science, Mathematics and any three of the following:

At least credit passes in English Language and Chemistry are compulsory.

Special Consideration;

MAPOLY requires four credits at one sitting or five credits at not more than two sittings to include English Language and Biology/Agricultural Science with at least a pass in Mathematics.

6. Library and Information Science

Federal Polytechnic Mubi and Plateau State Polytechnic accept a pass in Mathematics for Library and Information Science.

O’level Subjects Requirement;

English Language and Mathematics and any three other subjects from:

Special Consideration;

PLAPOLY requires four O/L credit passes in English Language, and any three subject and a pass in Mathematics.

FEDPOMUB accepts a pass in Mathematics as course requirement.

7. Mass Communication

Schools that accept Pass in Mathematics for Mass Comm.;

Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo (RUGIPO)

O’level Subjects Requirement;

English Language and Mathematics and any three other subjects from:

Special Consideration;

RUGIPO require credit passes in Literature in English and accepts a pass in Mathematics. It also accepts Yoruba, CRK/IRK at credit level.

8. Local Government Studies

The following are the Polytechnics that accept Pass in Maths for Local Government Studies;

The Polytechnic Ibadan, KADPOLY

O’level Subjects Requirement;

English Language (not Literature in English) and Mathematics and any three subjects from the following:

Special Consideration;

IBADANPOLY and KADPOLY require credit passes to include English Language and at least a pass in Mathematics.

9. Social Development

RAMAT POLY

O’level Subjects Requirement;

English Language (not Literature in English) and Mathematics and any three subjects from the following:

Special Consideration;

RAMATPOLY accepts a pass in Mathematics.

10. Public Administration

PLAPOLY, IBADANPOLY, Fidei Polytechnic, Gboko, OKE-OGUN POLY

O’level Subjects Requirement;

English Language (not Literature in English) and Mathematics and any three subjects from the following:

Special Consideration;

PLAPOLY requires O/L credits in at least four subjects, Eng. Lang. and a pass in Mathematics with any three from Economics, Govt/Hist, CRK/IRK, Accounts, Commerce, Litt-in-English, Bio/Agric. Sci, Health Sci.

IBADANPOLY requires credit passes in English Language, Economics, Government and a pass in Mathematics.

FIDEIPOLY requires credit passes in English Language, Economics, Government, Geography, Statistics, Accounts, Commerce, Economics, CRS, Information Communication Technology and History. A pass in Mathematics is accepted.

OKE-OGUN POLY requires credit passes in English Language, Economics, Government and a pass in Mathematics.

11. Office Technology and Management

NEKEDEPOLY, Rufus Giwa Polytechnic (RUGIPO), Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic, Nuhu Bamali Polytechnic Zaria, DESPO Ozoro, Kaduna Polytechnic, Federal polytechnic Mubi.

O’level Subjects Requirement;

English Language (not Literature in English) and Mathematics and any three subjects from the following:

Special Consideration;

NUHU BAMALI, RUGIPO, AKWAPOLY, do not insist on a pass in Mathematics or a Science Subject.

NEKEDEPOLY requires credit pass in English Language, a Science subject and any three from Economics, Business Methods, literature in English, Commerce, History, Government, Statistics, Geography, CRS, Principle of Accounts/Accounting, Office Practice/Secretarial Duties, Typewriting and Information Communication Technology, Mathematics or any language. At least a pass in Mathematics is compulsory.

DELTA POLY OZORO requires at least a pass in Mathematics.

KADPOLY does not accept any Language other than Eng. Lang. for Secretarial Studies. It does not require a pass in Mathematics and a Science subject as course requirements. It accepts Islamic Studies among optional UTME subject.

FEDPO-MUB accepts a pass in Mathematics and does not accept CRS/IRS as either course requirement or UTME subject.

12. Leisure and Tourism Management

O’level Subjects Requirement;

English Language, Geography, a Basic Science subject and two other subjects from:

A credit pass in Mathematics is compulsory.

Special Consideration;

MAPOLY requires four credits at one sitting or five credits at not more than two sittings to include English Language and Geography with Mathematics with at least a pass in Mathematics
