FUTMINNA academic calendar for 2023/2024 academic session is out. In other words, the Federal University Of Technology Minna (FUTMINNA)’s academic calendar for the 2023/2024 academic session is out.

This is the calendar of academic activities that will take place in the university for the session. All students (new and old) and lecturers should take note.

First Semester

FIRST SEMESTER: 5th Feb. 2024 – 18th May 2024 (15 WEEKS)

• 15th Jan. – 15th Jan. 2024: Staff Fitness Exercise
• 15th Jan. – 4th Feb. 2024: Online Registration for New & Returning Students (3 weeks)
• 1st Feb. 2024: Founder’s Day
• 5th Feb. – 30th Mar. 2024: Lectures for 100L–500L Students (8 weeks)
• 29th Feb. – 2nd Mar. 2024: Orientation for New Students
• 14th Mar. 2024: Matriculation for New Students
• 14th Mar. – 13th Apr. 2024: e-Test for 100 Level large classes (2 weeks)
• 1st Apr. – 27th Apr. 2024: Lectures Continue (4 weeks)
• 29th Apr. – 18th May 2024: e-Exams for 100 Level and Large Classes (3 weeks)
• 6th May – 18th May 2024: First Semester Exams for 200L–500L Level (2 weeks)
• 20th May – 1st June 2024: Semester Break (2 weeks)
• 3rd June – 16th Nov. 2024: SIWES for all Schools with exception of SAAT & SST&E students (24 weeks)
• 1st July 2024: School Boards to Consider First Semester Results
• 31st July 2024: Senate to consider First Semester Results

Second Semester

SECOND SEMESTER: 3rd June 2024 – 14th September 2024 (15 WEEKS)

• 3rd June – 27th July 2024: Lectures for All Students (8 weeks)
• 29th July – 10th Aug. 2024: e-Test for 100 Level and large classes (2 weeks)
• 12th Aug. – 24th Aug. 2024: Lectures Continue for all Levels (2 weeks)
• 26th Aug. – 14th Sept. 2024: e-Exams for 100 Level and Large Classes (3 weeks)
• 2nd Sept. – 14th Sept. 2024: Second Semester Exams 200 – 500 Level (2 weeks)
• 16th Sept. – 26th Oct. 2024: Second Semester Break (6 weeks)
• 18th Sept. – 26th Oct. 2024: SWEP/Field Trip (6 weeks)
• 28th Oct. 2024: School Boards to Consider Second Semester Results
• 13th Nov. 2024: Special Senate to Consider Second Semester Results
