University of Port-Harcourt, UNIPORT Part-time certificate and diploma programmes admission forms for 2016/2017 academic session are on sale. Application Form for admission into College of Continuing Education can now be obtained by candidates seeking admission.

The admission is for the 2016/2017 academic session into Part-Time Certificate and Diploma programmes. Candidates who are interested in applying for the 2016/2017 UNIPORT Part-time programme in the College of Continuing Education should read guidelines, eligibility information and how to apply below;

The following Pogrammes will be on offer during the session:

A.    CERTIFICATE AND DIPLOMA PROGRAMMES IN:

(1)    Information and Communication Technology
(2)    Electronic and Computer Technology
(3)    Computer Aided Design in Oil and Gas

Entry Requirements:

•    Certificate Programme

Candidates must have three (3) Ordinary Level Credit passes in the WASC/SSCE/NECO/GEC at not more than two (2) sittings.

Duration of the Programme: – Nine (9) months

•    Diploma Programme

Candidates must have four (4) Ordinary Level Credit passes in the WASC/SSCE/NECO/GEC at not more than two (2) sitting, including English Language and Mathematics.

Duration of the Programme: – 18 months

B.    DIPLOMA PROGRAMMES IN:
(1)    International Health and Safety Management
(2)    Quality Management
(3)    Logistics/Material Management
(4)`    Aviation Safety and Logistics Management
(5)    Project Management
(6)    Policing and Crime Management
(7)    Offshore Engineering Technology
(8)    Automation Engineering

Entry Requirements:

•    S/Nos. (1) – (6): Candidates must have three (3) Ordinary Level Credit passes in the WASC/SSCE/NECO/GCE at not more than two (2) sittings, including English Language.  Working experience in the related area will be an added advantage.

•    S/Nos. (7) and (8): Candidates must have three (3) Ordinary Level Credit passes in the WASC/SSCE/NECO/GCE at not more than two (2) sittings, including English Language and Mathematics.  Working experience in the related area will be an added advantage.

Duration of the Programmes: – Two (2) years. (Saturdays only)

Entry Requirements:

Admission Requirements: 
(i)    Short Courses
Candidates must possess relevant or related practical experience.
(ii)    Professional Diploma Programmes
•    Possess relevant or related practical experience
•    Possession of Higher National Diploma (HND) or  First Degree in Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry are added advantage.
(iii)         Certificate Courses
•    Possess relevant or related practical experience.
•    Possess the requisite O’level credits passes in three subjects, which must include:

(a)    English Language (compulsory)
(b)    Chemistry (compulsory)
(c)    Biology or Agricultural Science (and not both).
(d)    Mathematics or Physics (and not both) and
(e)    Any other subject (Economics, Geography, Further Mathematics, or Commerce).
Duration of Programmes
(i)    Short Courses:
–    Shall last between 10 to 21 days.
(ii)    Professional Diploma Programmes:
–     Shall last 12 Calendar months
(iii)    Certificate Courses:
–    Shall last 12 Calendar months.

NOTE:     ONLY candidates with three (3) Ordinary Level credits passes in the WASC/SSCE/GCE/NABTEB/ NECO at not more than two (2) sittings are acceptable for registration.

How To Apply For Uniport Certificate & Diploma Programmes Admission.

1.   Application for the UNIPORT certificate and Diploma programmes is online. Log on to ashgrove-cce.uniport.edu.ng and click on Application Procedure in CCE; click on “Register”, sign up and print payments slip.

2.    Proceed to any of the underlisted Banks to make payment of N5,500.00 (five thousand,  five hundred naira only), excluding Bank Charges and obtain an eTranzact receipt:

Login back to your account and verify your payment using the confirmation order number on the eTransact receipt; fill in the necessary information and print your Photo Card.

Application Closing Date:

The Sale of UNIPORT part-time certificate and diploma application forms will end on Tuesday, 31st January, 2017.  Lectures will commence in February 2017.
